Square and rectangular tiles have been the only choices for so long, so we’re loving the new trend for different shapes such as hexagon, lozenge and scallop. As well as different tiling layouts such as Herringbone or Basketweave formats. With a little imagination the possibilities are endless!
fan shaped tiles
Also known as scallop shaped tiles, or ‘fish scale’ tiles, the fan shaped tile is very on-trend for 2020. They work equally well on a feature wall in the shower, to the wall behind the basin, or a kitchen splashback. There is no need to cut the exposed edges if the wall is not being fully tiled – the fan shape creates a beautiful wavy finished edge. They’re available in many vibrant colours as well as more muted tones, and in mosaic and tile sizes.
